All day long we are inundated with messages. From the TV or radio when we awake to the messages on our smartphone, to what we see and read on Facebook and Twitter, to even the billboards we drive past on our daily commute. Zooming in on just the social media we consume each day the average person consumes some 285 pieces of content each and every day which adds up to some 54,000 words and over 1,000 clickable links. Consider this, if we were to actually read through and watch all the content those links provide, we would be watching some 443 minutes of video, or some 7 hours worth, every single day. Here is an infographic from the folks at Lifehack showing how much information we are dealing with in 2013. How do you deal with it all?
