Ten years ago a there was a one year old social media network who was quickly finding a foothold online named Myspace. Within a year the site had commanded so much attention that Rupert Murdoch and News Corporation purchased the site for a whopping $580 million. News Corp later sold the site to Specific Media Group and Justin Timberlake for $35 million in 2011. In 2004 a few college roommates at Harvard started another website called Facebook that you’ve probably heard of, and the rest, as they say is history. In ten years we seen the birth of dozens of social media sites that have become amazing successes and of course plenty of others that are footnotes in the history of  social media. The folks at MediaVision have put together this infographic outlining some great moments in social media over the last 10 years.
